One of the things that I thrive on the most is continuing education. I don’t mean in the traditional education sector, but educating myself on industry or personal development topics that further my knowledge and growth within me and my company.

I know I skipped last Saturday but, hey, hello, human here! This favorite topic for this week is all about powders.
I have really missed doing my monthly goals on the blog! Let’s chat about April and May shall we?! What I Didn’t Do Feel Bad for What I Put Into My Body. All last year, and the start of this year, I had been feeling guilty for not hitting my macros or “eating like I should”. But, last month I really adopted the idea of eating what I love and eating for my goals. My goal right now is to feel confident in the body that I have right now. It is to help my mind understand that I don’t always have to be chasing to look like “her” or even lift like I used to. I am working on non-fitness things and it is ok to do as much as I want because I am living by my rules. Not society’s rules. I love myself and everything my body and I have accomplished together. I am obligated to make good choices in the way that my health demands, not society’s. Go to the Gym As Often As I Wanted. Life has been a little crazy with work the first quarter and with Daniella moving right from volleyball to track. And, if we are being honest. I just didn’t feel like it. There were a few times I went to the gym and I flipped my mindset right back into “having to be there” and I left. Straight up. The gym doesn’t get to tell me how to feel and I want to want to be there. I want to show up and know that the commitment I am making to be there is because I enjoy it, not because “I have to be there”. Until I get to that place. I will continue to go when my mind feels well. Read As Much As I Would Have Liked. I don’t have to tell you again how busy I am. The one book I did get read was “Girl, Stop Apologizing” and I ordered three more to hopefully finish out the month of May. Stay tuned for a book review. What I Did Do Step Out of My Comfort Zone. If you have been with me, and have read this blog post, you know that I was having a hard time wrapping my head around a new task I was taking on at work. Since then, I have continued to step out of my comfort zone and get used to living in the uncomfortable for the sake of growing something great. Start My “Start Today Journal”. I have really loved starting this process and utilizing a quick, daily reminder of my goals and gratitude. Use My Planner Every Day. How many of us have purchased a planner and half way through the year, we find ourselves using it hit and miss. I have dedicated the past month to actively using it every day and it has made a world of difference. I am a visual person and so this helps guide me through my days, weeks, and month. What I Learned I AM STRONG. Those words are more of just physical or mental. They represent my whole being. I have a strong mind that continues to improve my overall health and it has been the most freeing feeling. I Have Amazing Ideas. One of the most amazing feelings is that I work for a company that values my ideas, my opinions and really lets me bring things to the table that move the company forward. I am so blessed that because I get to do that in my professional life it transitions to my personal life in the sense that I continue to make amazing ideas and growth for my own. If It Isn’t a Hell Yes, It’s a No. I am a yes girl. If I can go out of my way to make someone else thrive or be happy, I will. Even at the expense of whatever is happening in my life. Well, I put that to a screeching halt in January. I decided that I am going to live unapologetically for my family who I care so deeply for and myself. Within even that, if it does not serve God, or it does not serve my potential for goodness, I won’t even apologize, it’s a no. Of course, doing this gracefully is also a thing but, it’s a no. May Goals:
I hope you enjoy this type of format for my goal setting. I had missed doing it this way and it is much more beneficial when I sit down at the beginning of the month to go over what accomplishments I have made in terms of did and did not’s and where I am heading. I encourage you all to try it and see what new ideas you spark.
Friends, I have decided to do a mini-series here on the blog every Saturday for the new few weeks to cover some favorites of make-up and skin care. I hope you enjoy this Saturday’s topic of Foundations and Concealer’s that I have been loving. Let’s get started!
